Hello, my name is Nathalie Wogan and I am one of the founders of Pizzaovens.com back in 1999 when my brilliant partner came up with the idea of a website specializing in pizza ovens. The two of us worked hard getting it going with him working the business from USA and me from Ireland. We now have the able assistance of our dedicated staff, some of which you will also see in our “contact us”. It is interesting for me to read the other bios and there is only one of them that I totally disagree with and that is Andrew’s claim of being the loudest. Ken Roemer is the honest earner of this title – loud but not a nicer and more capable sales person could you meet, barring Michael Wright of course! I could write a little ditty about every member of staff as each and every one of them is fantastic but I guess the bio is supposed to be about me.
I was born in France to a French mother and Irish father and grew up in Ireland (in Europe for those who don’t know of this tiny little Island). Ireland was doing terribly in the 80s so I left and moved to England where I spent 13 years, finally going back to Ireland for 3 and then moving to Kentucky in 2003. I have not looked back since! Kentucky is a beautiful State – I like the people, the weather and pretty much I don’t think there is anything I don’t like. I have recently taken up playing the piano having learnt it briefly 30 years ago. It doesn’t come as easily now but I’ve finally mastered playing Fur Elise and Solfeggietto without the sheet music! I discovered a couple of years ago that I might be able to paint. I did 4 oil paintings of which I am very proud – of course they pale in comparison to our talented Dawn’s work. Unfortunately I have not done any more since but have the easel in the kitchen to remind me daily that I need to get back to it. It is truly very rewarding and relaxing (when I do it that is!).
I try to remember …. “this is my only life – it’s not a practice run so make the most of it that I can”.
