Hi everybody, and welcome to Pizzaovens.com where the quality goes in before the name goes on. I have been around restaurants most of my life, in many different capacities. I have been a bus boy, waiter, manager, partner and last but not least salesman, which is what I do today. There is no business like restaurant business, that’s what I always say. Where else can you spend 12 hours on your feet going at full speed and not be appreciated by anybody but your fellow workers. There is something about the camaraderie that develops with your fellow employees when working in a restaurant for hours on end. Oh well enough of that we’ve all seen the movie “Waiting”.
I left the restaurant industry several times, always winding up back in some capacity. I have to admit that working 5 days a week and being off on nights (for the most part) and weekends is like being on vacation after 30 years in the Biz.
They say all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and the same is true about me. I love to play golf. I enjoy reading all different types of literature and trash. I like gadgets and I think the iPhone is the coolest new gadget to come along since remote control cars.
I mentor youths at a local school and activities at my church fill up most of my free time.
I have been to Europe during a stint in the Army and enjoyed it very much. After the service I spent time with Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, some smaller private restaurants and had the pleasure of participating in the development of several franchise pizza restaurants in central and northern KY.
I enjoy the people I work with because everyone works together and our goal is to make sure that every customer that calls or visits us leaves with a positive experience. You know they say the bad feeling from poor service lingers long after the excitement of low pricing has left. It takes longer and is more detailed to provide great service but we believe in the long run it is well worth it.
