Hi, my name is Dawn and I hold the prestigious titles of “Web Administrator” and “Inventory Manager.” What these titles mean for our website visitors is very little, however it is my handiwork which creates all the product listings on PizzaOvens.com which our visitors love browsing! I also maintain current pricing and info for all the items on our site, update our Partners' Links, and post our spectacular customer feedback to the site, among other random things.

Although “Web Administrator” gives an implication of some sort of technologically-savvy individual, I must admit that I can be quite technologically challenged! As a matter-of-fact, I love and prefer all things artistic; my favorite hobby and likewise meditative practice, has been for years, and remains, oil painting. I simply couldn’t survive happily without my paints. Mostly self-taught, I studied Art briefly at EKU and also at UK. I hated it, however! I quit both programs before ever even making it to any painting classes. I realize and embrace my stubbornness; I lost my patience a long time ago for tedious, highly detailed, exact replication artwork.  Art, for me, is freedom, its expression; it’s taking what exists and portraying it in my own way. I’m attracted to color and texture…not details.

My career choices up until this point have landed me with sometimes useless and very random knowledge. I can tell you about cigars, I can landscape your yard (as long as you live in or around Zone 6) really beautifully, I can make a mean pizza, and I even rocked as the neighborhood “Ice Cream Man” when I fashioned my own Ice Cream truck one summer. (At least my Pizza Restaurant experience & knowledge still comes into play every now-and-again.)

Recently, my artistic hubby and I have been airbrushing kick-drum heads for local bands…fun to see your work up on stage; and fun to do something ‘edgier’ than oil paintings.

I also could not imagine life without (in total random order): Music, Coffee, Boats, Photography, Reading, Movies, my wonderful husband ‘Tyler’, our sweet new puppy ‘Sadie’ and our silver cat ‘Gwenavar’.
